smooth radio aims to bring you the very best in music. We want to know what you want to listen to and what you think of the songs we play. Your views allow us to make sure we play what you want to hear and also let you see what other smooth radio listeners thought of the songs.

You may have noticed a little collection of stars appearing on the now playing box, the song search page and the last 10 tracks played page. This is your little gadget to rate that artist and track and influence what smooth radio plays.

Step 1
Each track played or playing has the rating box on the right-hand side with 5 grey stars numbered 1 to 5.

Step 2
Simply decide what rating you want to give the track and click on the corresponding star. 1 star is for a track you think is okay but wouldn’t want to hear a lot and 5 stars is for a track you think is brilliant and you want to hear more often.

Step 3
It may take a few seconds for your score to be saved depending on your internet connection.

Step 4
Once the rating has been saved you will be able to see what other people thought of the track too. The purple bar shows the popularity and the score below indicates how the track is fairing. The text after the score shows what people are thinking of that track.

While you're on the site we'll show you the ratings of the tracks you've voted on automatically so if you've rated a track on the now playing box and then visit the last 10 tracks playing page you'll see the result for the track you've already rated.

We'll be using this data to adapt our playlists and we'll be listing the high scoring tracks on our website very soon! Make sure you keep rating the tracks and checking the site to see which artists are top of the listeners’ list!
