Duffy – Warwick Avenue

• Duffy has gone from relative obscurity in North Wales to superstardom over the past few months- Her single ‘Mercy’ went to number one as did her album ‘Rockferry’ (Which is in fact about Rock Ferry on the Wirral!) There’s no escaping the comparisons with Dusty Springfield – Duffy’s voice is exceptional.
• Warwick Avenue was written by the songwriter whilst waiting at the London station of the same name. It seems she has a passion for place names!
