My radio career began... in 1983, straight from the University of Surrey studying Electronic Engineering to County Sound in Guildford

When I'm not at work I... run around after my two kids Antonia (7) and Harry (3). If I have any energy after that, I chase after my wife!

• Pastime…Cooking, I'm a bit of a chef on the side
• Meal…Any fine dining - the posher the better. Marcus Wareing is my current favourite
• Holiday destination…Barbados - West End restaurants on the Carribean, how cool is that?
• Childhood memory…Riding on the tube with my Grandfather, who by the way holds the record for the longest service to the London Underground - over 64 years!
• Film…Play Misty for Me (for obvious reasons). I still want a house like Clint Eastwood's in the film!
• Band/artist…Barry White
• Song…Lets Get It On - Marvin Gaye.....it doesn't get sexier than this
• Album…Rhapsody in White by Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra. It's the best arrangement of instruments I've ever heard.
• Decade…70s for Soul All Nighters, Pointy Shoes, dangly belts and of course DISCO
